Time to move on…

It’s been more than a year since I was replaced as editor of Fishtail West, and there is still some confusion. My regret is that I was not able to say goodbye to everyone or explain why it was time…

There’s more than one way to kick a person out of a club.  Deliver small hints that they are not wanted like telling them the wrong time for an event so when they arrive all the food is gone.  Or simply don’t include them in an event but make certain they see all the photos and videos of what they missed.  Then there is the Medusa-style method of spreading rumors.  So many bad words set loose in the air catch up when the individual is stuck in a chase truck and asked, “So why does So-and so talk such shit about you?  I thought they were your friend.”

This all adds up to kicking a person out, without taking any responsibility.  Don’t dare say, “you don’t match my vision of what this club is going to be.”  Hell no, just make them feel as uncomfortable and unwanted as possible.

In my final year as editor, I felt like I was being bullied and so I wrote a letter of resignation.  I was talked out of following up on it, which is a shame because I never got a chance to say good bye to all of the members.

Thank you for allowing me to be editor for so many years – I enjoyed that immensely!  We also had some great adventures!
